Pembrokeshire is extremely dog-friendly, so you won’t be short of things to do during your visit. Plenty of our beaches are open to dogs all year round, and many of the local attractions welcome dogs on leads too, including Pembroke Castle and the grounds of St David’s Cathedral. Skomer Island is a renowned destination for puffin spotting, with boat trips available from April to September. You can wander around the island, sail through the surrounding waters or choose an exhilarating Sea Safari. The puffins begin to arrive on Skomer Island from the middle of April, start leaving the island from mid July, and are usually gone by the end of July. Limited trips to Skomer run throughout September to see other wildlife and native foliage.
Set next to a peaceful nature reserve, Rosemoor has nine holiday cottages available for small group and family holidays to Pembrokeshire – sleeping from 2 to 6 guests. Six of the cottages are dog-friendly, while the remaining three are kept pet free.

On the premises, Rosemoor has a free range flock of chickens of all different plumage. In the fields around Rosemoor you will find inquisitive cattle nosing the fence behind your cottage. Sheep are usually in the field next to the Rosemoor Nature Reserve.
